I have always loved animals and have been an avid pet owner all my life. During high school and college I had the opportunity to work as a vet's assistant. I was responsible for caring for dogs and cats that were admitted to the vet hospital. My duties included feeding, walking, giving out medication, cleaning cages and occasionally bathing. It was one of the best jobs I have had.
