About Susan

I've been working with kids since I was in college. The first time I worked with kids was through an internship in a math class at a middle school. I loved it so much that I switched my major to Human Development to pursue a career in teaching. I also interned in a high school math class, was a teacher aide at a preschool (4-6-year-olds), and was a long-term para substitute in a 5th-grade class. After graduating with my undergraduate degree, I attended UC Davis's School of Education to receive my Teaching Credential and Masters degree. I am a math teacher with 6 years of experience teaching 13-16-year-olds. My qualities when interacting with kids include being patient when they are struggling, helping them understand their feelings, and figuring out how to resolve conflict.
