About Tashena

I'd describe my personality as outspoken, accepting, and encouraging. I like tutoring because I want to help others experience and build confidence in areas they weren't so sure about. Helping them to realize they had the potential within in them the whole time; they just needed the right person to help them discover that. I started tutoring when I was at my old college in California. I was in the mathematics lab just to study and stay focused on the subject, and along the way I started helping others to understand. I was offered a job by the math lab director after they overheard me. I then remained as a tutor teaching basic elementary through pre-calc in the following semesters. In my spare time, I like to draw, play board games and make puzzles, anything that challenges my brain is really fun to me. I also love water so I'm a big swimmer and will go to the ocean pretty often over the summer. One thing you should know about me is that I have 2 god daughters.
