About Taylor

I am a credentialed teacher with 7 years of professional teaching experience. I have taught students from first through sixth grade, with the majority of my experience being in the sixth grade. My favorite subjects are reading, writing, and history/mythology. However, I have experience across all elementary subjects and have even taught advanced math, (7th grade level) as well. I am also well versed in close reading and Socratic seminar. As a psychology major in undergrad, I became very comfortable with APA format and research papers, so I am able to support in this style of writing at the higher level as well. I have a Master's degree in teaching, with a focus in teaching reading and literacy. In the past I have served as a mentor and lead teacher for my campus, and I have also worked as a private tutor. I love teaching, and the only reason I am not working full time is because I had a baby in June and am a stay-at-home parent for the time being.
