About Terrie

I believe getting the best care for your loved one is one of the most important decisions to be made. And I will do my very best to provide that care for them. My background is filled with being a care giver for seniors, special needs, and taking care of children. I have worked for a home health care agency in Cleveland Ohio as well as in Brooklyn and had many clients that I have enjoyed working for. I have taken care of many children with and without disabilities. Including cerebral palsy, & autism. I have been a room mom for both of my children at their schools. I attended and volunteered with many activities. Including Girl Scouts, plays, concerts. I have helped with preschool & kindergarten classes with special needs children assisting them in learning & activities. I have worked in after school program & daycare. For many years, I have worked in my church with preschool children up to 12 years of age. Including using clowning, puppets, music, hand bells and lots of fun activities. Currently, I am teaching 2 to 4-year-olds at my church. I have also been a full-time care giver for my mother for about 2 years as well. A stroke victim, she was paralyzed on one side and needed lots of assistants. My background for senior care includes cleaning their homes or apartments, doing laundry, meal preparation, helping them organize, bathing, handing them their medication (which has already been prepared by a nurse or family member). Taking clients to doctor appointments, waiting for them during surgeries, and therapy appointments, and going for a walk. I like to see my clients have some fun things to do, so I have taken clients to The Cleveland Zoo, The Cleveland Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, shopping, visiting friends, out for a meal and a drive just to get their favorite ice cream. Companion care, if they would like to talk, play board games, read, make crafts, even bake some cookies. I have gone to nursing homes to be with clients, and give encouragement and pray with them. Also, I have attended events & entertainment with clients while at the nursing home.
