About Trina

Hello, I'm Trina, it's nice to meet you! I am a mother of 4 children, and 2 grandchildren, along with 2 cats. I have been a Licensed Practical Nurse for almost 30 years. I have worked in women's healthcare, skilled nursing facility, long term care. I currently work full time with a home care company as a Care Transition Manager, I help patients discharge out of Upstate Hospital into home care. I've been with my company for 4 years, this is my 1st administrative position, but I do miss interaction with people. I became a nurse because I want to help ease someone pain, anxiety, fears, not only for my patients, but also for their families. I am an only child, and cared for both my parents during their illnesses, transitioned them both to Hospice, and was the main caregiver for both. It was a very hard time in my life, but yet, the most rewarding. I understand the fear of the unknown, not just for the person, but also for the caregiver, and burnout.
