I cannot speak highly enough of Valentina! I will refer to Valentina as “V”—our family’s nickname in my review. Valentina has been an absolute blessing to our family for the past two years. I had a friend who hired V through this site, and when our babysitter moved after getting married, my friend gave me V’s information and referred me to her. “You’ll forget about your last sitter… just wait!” she said. I know how hard it is to find loyal and professional individuals today, especially in NYC. I have three boys, all under seven, so I know how hard it can be to manage little rascals like mine. There was no looking back after V’s first day. My husband and kiddos adored Valentina, and after our first week with her, I was floored by not only how incredibly reliable and punctual she was but also by her truly top-notch professionalism. V’s childcare experience is evident in her handling every situation with patience and expertise. My kids are genuine Rugrats (as boys can be), and they can get into so much trouble… running, falling, bumping into things, and the list goes on. V has shown up time and time again, being able to manage my boys with grace, tenderness, and proper understanding. What sets V apart is her ability to show up with great energy and enthusiasm, which my kids adore. They are young boys with more energy than they know what to do with, and V has been able to keep up and play ball (literally & figuratively ). She loves spending time with them and always ensures my children feel valued and happy. V is excellent at devising creative and engaging activities that keep the kids entertained and intellectually stimulated, most importantly, away from their phones, TVs, iPads, and social media. Safety is always our family's top priority; Valentina took that to heart! Her awareness of basic first aid and safety protocols gives us peace of mind, as our kiddos can be little rascals and quickly get cuts and scrapes. Valentina has shown us time and time again that she can handle the messiest, bloodiest, and most chaotic situations that my boys can get into. This makes us feel truly at ease and have peace of mind (and that’s priceless when having little ones). Valentina communicates exceptionally well, both with the kids and with us! She keeps us updated by texting photos, updates, or any reminders I ask her to remember for us! V will call / text, “As you asked, don’t forget to grab the oat milk for J. on the way home… / J.’s Lucky Charms cereal is running low… or J. asked if you can get more of the blue Gatorade, etc.” She keeps me forever informed and reassured, as I can have a bird's brain after a long day at the office/work. The last thing I want to do is go back out again- if we didn’t have V, I’d be pulling my hair out with how I can forget the essential things (kind of like forgetting to pack socks for a hiking weekend trip). V has got me covered! Overall, Valentina is a phenomenal babysitter. V’s positive attitude, trustworthiness, and flexibility make her an integral part of our family and life. We are incredibly grateful and blessed to experience this kind of caregiving, as our kids are everything. V is a part of our family. My boys wouldn’t be the happy-go-lucky kids they are after a long day without their V.
