About Vanessa

Hello, My name is Vanessa and I have been working in healthcare for almost 20 years. I was a certified nursing assistant for 13 years with experience in Long Term Care, Rehab, and Assisted Living. During that time while I was in nursing school I was a medtech/lead cna for the Memory Care Unit as well as the Assisted Living Unit. I have been a nurse for 6 years now and I still enjoy spending time with the elderly whether it be a facility or in their own home. In my career as a nurse I have worked in Long Term Care, Acute Care, Dementia units, Med Surg Hospital settings, and some Respite settings. It is such a joy to care for such a population and to develop a relationship with them as well as their families that will last for years and years. I have not only just worked with the elderly population, I have also been a pediatric home health nurse for special needs for 5 years with some subbing in different school districts in their special needs classrooms.
