About Whitney

I've been babysitting kids of all ages, from infants to preteens, since I was 13 years old. I took a long leave from it while working first as an editor and then in the corporate world, as well as while being back in school (at Columbia University, where I earned my second undergraduate degree in philosophy). But I also have two nephews and a niece all under the age of 10, lots of friends with young children, and, now, my own 22-month-old daughter--so my recent "anecdotal" experience in caring for kids is extensive. I look forward to developing mutually respectful, long-term relationships with families who value playfulness, patience, flexibility, education, and warmth.
