There is no more beautiful thing than an imagination focused on play! There is no better way to learn than through play. I have 9 years of experience working with kids from preschool age through middle school, in settings varying from camp to classroom to playground. I have told the kids I've worked with before: "I have two jobs. My first job is to make sure what you are doing is safe, my second job is to make sure you are having fun. If we can fit some learning in there as well, its always welcome." I have served 2 years in AmeriCorps in preschool classrooms. I have 3 years of YMCA Camp Counselor experience. I have spent the last 5 years with a school district, running a before and afterschool elementary program, running an afterschool middle school program, and preschool assistant. I like to hike, longboard, bike, play video games, and play pretend.
