Hello! My name is Yoki and I am a college student. While being a student I am also a Dallas CASA (court appointed special advocate) volunteer. I have been an advocate for 1 year now and it has been a learning journey that I have been enjoying. For 3 years I was working as a Sunday school teacher at my church. As a child's advocate I am able to use my skill set of; making sure that they are getting the best outcome in their learning and development, by being patient while figuring out what works best for them. I enjoy working with children because they are so enthusiastic and I love being able to match their enthusiasm and creating a positive space where they can just be a kid. I love being able to witness children being so creative and growing into there own personality. I hope to be a positive impact where they are able to continue to flourish.
