If you are looking to get away from the crowds, this tour is for you! Come join me on the lower Wekiva River, where we will see Florida at its most natural. In this ecosystem we will see flora and possibly wildlife including birds, turtles, otters, deer, and maybe an alligator. This river is part of the St. Johns River which is the largest river in Florida so we do have a possibility of seeing the occasional manatee also. We’ll take an hour long journey up stream, and I’ll point out all the exciting nature there is along the way, and then we’ll float back down to the launch point. Over the next 2 hours we walk a loop around LoDo where we share stories of Denver’s first Chinatown, visit the most famous bordello of its time, visit the oldest operating hotel in Denver, and learn about the underground tunnel system that runs beneath the city.
