I helped care for my mother until she passed from dementia. I made all her appointments, shopping, laundry, and cleaning. I spent a lot of time with her, counseling and comforting her. I also found doctors for her. Eventually, I had to find a good memory care facility because she needed round-the-clock care. I am a musician (mostly a vocalist) and teacher in the Seattle area. I have degrees in Vocal Jazz Performance (Magna Cum Laude), Music Education, and Journalism. While caring for my mother, I raised my children as well. I've usually had jobs working directly with people, something I like to do.
