About Shauntelle

While I have only experienced some clinical time during my CNA program applying CNA skills, I feel like my real life experience with such skills should speak volumes. I was the primary caregiver for my mom when she had to retire early due to her late diagnosis of Parkinson's. This involved making sure she had the right medical equipment and supplies, checking in that she remembered her medications, taking her to/from appointments, multiple surgeries, and more. My mom was my best friend and I enjoyed the time I got to spend with her. But I was more thankful she trusted me to be that person to help support, speak up, and stand up for her when she needed. Because of my experience with her I hope and want to help others who may need someone like me so I could be for them how I was for my mom.
