About Dariana

I am Dariana, a recent graduate from UVM with a bachelor of science in early childhood education and a teaching license. My license is for early childhood, or children birth-grade 3. I have experience with the Reggio-Emilia method, and I am familiar with best practices in preschool education. I have been both a head preschool teacher as well as an interim director. Additionally, I have worked in public schools and learned anti-bias and anti-racist frameworks for education, as well as gained experience working with children on educational plans such as IEPs and 504s. It is my professional belief that children learn best when taking risks. I am an advocate for outdoor learning, experiential and project based learning, and safe "rough" play. Outside of my experience and qualifications, I am an artistic person. My favorite activity to do with children is art-based activities. Additionally, I used to lifeguard and teach swim lessons, so I am comfortable swimming with children.
