About Emily

I have over 10 years experience in child care from babysitting to being an after school and summer camp Group Leader, to becoming the Youth Programs Coordinator- running the after school and summer camp program. I have worked with kids having different physical needs, learning abilities, and behavioral patterns. I'm happy to help kids with homework, play games, and do arts and crafts. I love working with kids, knowing these tiny humans are going to become our future leaders. I believe it is my job, as a child care professional, to help kids become the best versions of themselves by teaching them to be kind, to respect others, to care about the planet, to be a good friend, to take responsibility for their actions, to learn and grow from their mistakes, and to be confident in themselves. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I also have my CDA credential and have completed the DCF 40 clock hour Competency Exams. I am also interested in Montessori based learning practices.
