About Emma

Hello, my name is Emma! I graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2020 with my B. A. degree in English. Additionally, I graduated from URI in 2021 with my B. A. degree in Secondary English Education (grades 7-12), as well as a middle school extension, to be certified to teach English from (5-8). I also received my ESL extension to be certified to teach English language learners for students from prek-12th grade. I have an abundance of experience of working with students as I was a daycare teacher for five years. Additionally, I worked as a long-term substitute at the kindergarten level in the capacity of the ESL teacher for one year. I studeny-taught at the high school level, working with students from grades 9-12 in the subject of English as well as ESL. Currently, I am in my first contractual year as a teacher. I am teaching grades 4 and 5 in the capacity as the English language learner teacher. I absolutely love it! I hope to be your child's tutor!
