I was a 2nd grade elementary teacher for the past two years as a Teach for America corps member. I worked at a local elementary school where my students all showed growth in reading, writing, math, and science. I have a Masters in Education from Lipscomb University. After leaving the classroom last summer, I have been working in children's book publishing and media. I am a marketing coordinator for independent publishers, and am able to stay on top of learning and interest trends with kids ages 0-18. I also build teacher and educational guides to go with some of our top titles, which I can use to help tutor students as well. I am also an educational advisor to a YouTube and educational platform where I develop curriculums around highest needs for students today. I would be happy to use these with the kids that I tutor to keep it interested and based off of their needs.
