About Katherine

Having worked throughout college as a nanny, Ive realized how much I love working with kids. It's rewarding to bare witness to the growth and evolving understanding of the world in children. While my role is primarily to guide, support, and nurture children as they grow, I have found that I often am the one growing through observing their unique perspectives of the world; an aspect of the work that I find incredibly enriching. My top three child care skills are creativity, responsibility, and adaptability. I grew up dancing. Once I was in high school, I taught ballet classes at my dance studio for children 3-12. I developed creative teaching strategies which evolved over time the more I understood. Additionally, I feel equipped in this role having a background in child development through my studies in college. I have a degree in Psychology and took many courses pertaining to child development. These courses have given me a greater sense of confidence in my role as a caretaker.
