About Paola

Hi families, I am Paola, and I love teaching young children. My passion is seeing children enjoy learning and feeling proud when they realize how capable they are. I have 12 years of experience in the education field. I started my career working with early years (ages 1-5), helping students develop important life skills, stimulating their senses, and teaching them the basics of reading and writing using the Orton-Gillingham approach, a multisensory method for the older ones. In 2022, I embarked on a new adventure in my career and moved to New York City to teach 2nd grade in an elementary school, where I support students in their holistic learning and reading and writing in both Spanish and English. I am fluent in Spanish and English. I'd describe my personality as calm, warm, patient and enthusiastic. In my spare time, I like to go outside and have long walks , explore new places, and have meaningful conversations with friends.
