About Rachel

I'd describe my personality as patient, creative, and easygoing. I like working with kids because they are great teachers to adults. I'm looking for a job that provides stability, as well as a warm, welcoming environment. I started working with kids when I was in high school. I currently teach music to students in PK through 8th grade at Chicago Public Schools. In my spare time, I like to sing opera and listen to classical music. I also love cooking with my husband and hosting dinner parties. One thing you should know about me is I love to find ways to incorporate music and cooking with the families I work with. My skills include singing, playing the viola, playing the violin, playing a little guitar and ukulele, playing a little piano, and cooking.
