About Terrie

Former educator of 20 years who finds happiness in serving seniors through companion care. After a family members journey with hospice, I became a volunteer. My experience with hospice, caregiving, my mother's Parkinson's, and visiting shut-ins throughout the years has brought me to a place in my life where compassion and empathy is most important to me. As a caregiver, providing the same care for others that I wanted for my own loved ones is most important. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I'm currently enrolled in CNA classes to enhance my knowledge of healthcare and providing caregiving to others. I've taken Restorative Practices classes to help with problematic situations. These strategies can help especially for individuals who have DI or onset dementia.
