Winter Semester (January-Mid March) Exercise the imagination and build creativity at the Art House. This class is designed for four to 6 years old aged children to help them learn and develop fine motor skills through creating art! Your child will practice using scissors, holding a pencil and paint brush, and much more through drawing, painting, and sculpting. Students produce a variety of projects with various mediums and subjects in order to learn different techniques and skills in creating art. Classes are limited in sizes so sign your child up today!

A preview allows students to participate in the first class of a focused program and experience its structure and expectations before enrolling. About the program: Digital Art 2 builds on students’ foundational Procreate skills and introduces them to a series of new digital art techniques. Each technique is taught through a focused lesson, followed by a project that allows students to practice and apply what they learned. Over the session, students will explore different approaches to digital drawing and painting while strengthening their skills, growing more confident, and working with greater independence. This week we’re celebrating the truly iconic artist and activist Augusta Savage! Known for her sculptures and influential art gallery, Savage is responsible for educating and encouraging a generation of nationally renowned artists born out of the Harlem Renaissance. We will experiment with the tactile approach of clay by making an antelope bust. Students will expand their sculpting techniques while learning about armature support construction, troubleshooting with different approaches to balance and application. To top it all off, they will add their own lively touch by painting their masterpiece, focusing on value and form.

There is a $5 supply fee if you do not cancel your reservation at least 1 hour in advance and do not attend class. This is especially enforced if there is a full class.
