About Katelyn

I have worked as a tutor for over 10 years, focusing on reading, writing, math, ACT prep, and online learning. I have found that the central key to tutoring success is creating a routine and supporting learning that goes beyond what is taught in the classroom. I am patient with my students, recognizing how frustrating it can be to struggle in school or to reach their educational goals. As a student who was tutored growing up, I have experienced several tutors and understand how to create a relationship that is both friendly and professional. My tutoring experience is typically 1:1, but has also shifted into a classroom setting from time to time. I graduated from college with honors, scored in the 99th percentile for my writing composition on the ACT, and have received official certification as a reading/writing tutor.
