About Makayla

I graduated from the University of New Mexico with my BS in Elementary Education. I have a concentration in ELA, and a minor in Special Education. I have my Child Development licensure, and I was 1 class away from a second minor in Speech and Hearing Sciences. I have an advantage as a tutor because I know how teachers are actually teaching the material and what your student needs to know! My wide variety of experience and expertise allows me to see your child's academic strengths and weaknesses holistically while teaching functional and evidence-based strategies to help them succeed even after I am long gone! I specialize in working with neurodiversity individuals with learning differences.
